The Villains of Old School Evil
Time travel real estate theft. Circus ride disguise. Giant purple robot griffin. Carving your face in the moon with a laser.

There is something special about the brand of insanity in 80s cartoon villains. The schemes could easily be passed off as “crazy” or “stupid” but that’s too simple. If these bad guys were so dumb, how would they have amassed whole armies to fight the heroes? How could they build these machines or find these magic devices, which always seem to work in the first half of the episodes? No matter how their plans get thwarted, these villains have the intelligence and the means to be threats to the heroes and the whole world. No matter who your preferred hero was on the small screen during your childhood, it was the bad guys that made them who they were. Without the villains to test them, to mold their actions and their morals, our heroes would be ordinary, boring even.

When I created Old School Evil, I took the villains I loved watching and used their visages and powers to build my own bad guys. By taking traits from Megatron and Cy-Kill or Mumm-Ra and Miles Mayhem and smashing them together, new villains emerged. Old School Evil has a whole world of new bad guys, each with their own strengths and limitations, personalities and flaws.
